Rally Durango Express 2026
Rally Durango Express Rally Durango Express is a high-level speed rally that brings together modern and classic competition cars in a timed stage road format.
The event combines motorsport, tourism, and culture, guiding participants through some of the most iconic landscapes in the state of Durango along technical and scenic routes.

History & Organization
The rally has 19 editions,consolidating itself as one of the most important motorsport events in Mexico.
It was originally founded in the state of Chihuahua as a creation of Arquitecto Chacho Medina, a prominent promoter of motorsport in Mexico.
Today, the event continues its legacy under the name Durango Express Rally, relocating its headquarters to the state of Durango while maintaining its competitive spirit and international projection.

Host City
The main headquarters is Durango Capital, where participants stay each night.
From there, the rally routes extend toward different municipalities:
Day 1: Santiago Papasquiaro
Day 2: El Mezquital
Day 3: The Espinazo del Diablo
The latter is considered one of the most iconic and challenging roads in Mexican motorsport.

Durango Express Rally is run under a timed stage speed rally format:

Initial qualifying + 3 official stages

The Durango Express Rally allows both Carsmodern and classic competition cars , classified according to engine displacement and engine type,in accordance with the official technical regulations.

Rally Durango Express is conducted under the guidelines of:
Mexican Federation of Sport Automobile Racing (FEMADAC)
National Rally Commission Mexico (CNRM)
Rally Automóvil Club A.C.
In coordination with federal, state, and municipal authorities, as well as safety, civil protection, and tourism institutions.
The event aims to consolidate itself as a platform for collaboration between sport, government, and the private sector, promoting responsible motorsport and tourism development in the state of Durango.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. How much is the entry fee?
The entry fee is USD $5,500 per team.
This amount includes the awards dinners, the official driver and co-driver package, as well as all rally services: route controls, medical staff during the event, competition-authorized roads, and overall event organization.
2. What types of vehicles are eligible?
Modern and classic competition cars may participate, divided into different categories based on engine displacement and engine type (naturally aspirated or turbocharged).
All vehicles must comply with the safety requirements established in the official Rally Durango Express regulations..
3. What licenses are required?
Both the driver and navigator must have:
- A valid driver’s license from their country of origin.
- A FEMADAC competition license (Mexican Federation of Sport Automobile Racing).
The FEMADAC license may be processed during the days prior to the rally as part of the event’s administrative process.
